I am looking for the history of Flora, Indiana and the genealogy of its founder John Flora. I am related through my maternal grandmother who was Alice Margerie Flora and her father Nora Walter Flora. If anybody has any information on this family line that would be great. Thanks.

You should be able to find the information at the library. Ask them if they have a copy of the soft bound book (Light brown or tan cover)that was printed for the sesquicentennial in 1972. I believe it had a lot of information on John Flora. I have one of these books if they do not. I could meet you at the library sometime if you would like to share the information in it or you could make copies of some of the pages.

My Father was John Robert Flora and My brother has the
same name. My father's family were from Muncie Indiana
my brother now lives in TN.

My Great Grandpa was Lee Flora of Flora, IN and my grandmother is Phyllis Shoff (Flora - Maiden name) who still lives in Flora, IN
